Dedicated alleviating the suffering of the world’s poorest people

An inauguration ceremony was arranged in village Zara Miana, district Nowshera to hand over 200 permanent shelters built for flood-hit families. A large number of people from all walks of life, especially the community attended the ceremony. Under the Nowshera Integrated Village Rehabilitation Programme (NIVRP) funded by Islamic Relief USA was implemented in village Zara Miana benefitting the flood-affected community.

One school was also rehabilitated which help the girls continue their education. Moreover, 112 hygiene promotion sessions, school cleanliness campaigns and awareness sessions were conducted for the communities. Under Nowshera Integrated Village Rehabilitation Programme (NIVRP), Islamic Relief started activities through participatory development approach, formation of COs and sub-COs (livelihood, shelter & WASH) and regular meetings were conducted with community members to ensure transparency in the implementation of the project.
