Haven or Hell?
July saw an intensification of the humanitarian crisis in Bosnia. Thousands of citizens from Srebrenica & Zepa fled leaving their homes and possessions behind. The aid agencies tried to pick up the pieces as best they could. Islamic Relief staff from our Tuzla field office were amongst the first to receive the refugees at a place on the front line of the war, called Kladanj. Upon their arrival, our staff immediately distributed sandwiches and orange juice to exhausted refugees.
