Sustainable Sea Fisheries for Simeulue and Singkil

In the second week of September 2011 the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Team consisting of AOC (Aceh Ocean Coral), the local partner of IR (Islamic Relief), the local government of Simeulue District or Singkil District, representatives of the beneficiaries, the Panglima Laot (traditional fisheries regulators) plus a team from PMU/PMC together with related contractors held collective field visits to inspect FAD (Fish attractor devices or rumpon) and KJA (Keramba Jaring Apung or floating fishfarm) preparations. These inspections were held in Simeulue at Kotabatu, Sambay & Lugu and also in Singkil at both Balai & Haloban Islands.
